I will soon be moving to and working in Nothern Ariz. (Grand Canyon area). One of the first things I want to do after getting there is to order my "retirement truck", a 2003 DC, HO, 3500,4x4, anti-slip, SRW, with several options. I'll be driving it a long while, so I want to make sure it's a color I like and has all the options I want. Will likely have to be special ordered.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to which dealer or dealers I should go to?

I understand that there is a Dodge dealer in Flagstaff which would be close and convenient. Maybe one in Prescott, too.

I'm sure there are several dealers in the Phoenix area. Undoubtedly, some are more highly regarded than others as ones to deal with.

Any suggestions or opinions? Thanks in advance.

In a separate posting, I'm going to ask for opinions on 6sp. vs. the new 48RE. However, don't think I'd consider the 48RE unless Dodge approves use of an Exhaust Brake.

Also will be asking for opinions as to long- vs. short-bed for pulling 5th wheel trailer. If short-bed, then which slider hitch?

But, those and perhaps other questions will be in another posting.

AAAAAHHHHHHHH! STOP! RUN! NO! DONT DO IT! BACK AWAY FROM THE LOCAL DEALER AND PUT YOUR WALLET, MORTGAGE and LIFE INSURANCE AWAY!!!!:p

Forget about Flagstaff's dealer unless you like sex and car sales, at the same time, you know what I mean. Shop in Phoenix, Ed Moses or Chapman are great places to deal.

Cottonwoods Oxendale Dodge is also fair and reasonable.

Welcome to Arizona!!! Bring back some of the water California stole when you come over! Were Out.

The short box does not make a very good 5er puller because they took 3" off from the front of the box. It's only about 36" from axle to cab. Really stupid. What they need to make is a 7' bed. It would work better for 5er pulling, but still fit in most garages.

Can't help with the dealer issue. Get the 6 speed. It's sweet.
