anyone running like this? id like to keep the truck as simple as possible. i was thinking of some 100hp injectors and a larger turbo with a BHAF nad a 5 inch stack with 5 inch exhaust off the turbo...

ANY input would be GREAT. i think i might have to go to an aftermarket fuel pump as well... . RASP would be my choice, but FAST isnt out of the question.

here is what i will be doing with the truck, TOWING! 20k isnt out of the question. also the turbo would have to be something i can use with my Jake E-Brake.

thanks

i've been running around with just the edm injectors and sps64 turbo, no chip. truck goes good. havn't towed with it. you will need some sort of boost fooler. a big turbo will set overboost codes!... . james :D

is there anything that JUST fools the computer on the boost side of the house? i was also thinking roktech crank sensor... .

thanks.

My PS62 came with a boost fooler. . Just a simple little thing that plugs in. I think a 62 and a set of injectors would be a great combination. . Then if you ever got the urge, it's there. .

ehh, im new to all of the turbo names... what is a PS62? i am guessing 62 CM wheel... i dunno, maybe way off there. im a drivetrain and suspension guy... not a motor guy... . can turn the wrench, but dont like to find the parts too offten.

for the turbos, 62 means how many mm's your compressor wheel is. If you are towing dont go with a 66, a SPS62 (super phat shaft) may still run hot towing 20k with 100+ HP Also an exhaust brake will work with either. do the crank sensor mod, and a FASS or RASP would work awesome!

Morse, the fooler your speeking of is a wastegate fooler not a boost fooler.

GW, you should be able to get a BOOST FOOLER for your MAP sensor wherever you get your injectors.

I've never had a problem with any codes being thrown. Maybe the power puck had something to do with it. Don't know. .

Installing injectors isn't as easy as on second gen trucks. A box is a lot easier to install. However, they work. One good combination is the Diesel Dynamics stuff I chose back in Oct 2003: Stage 2 injectors, pusher pump, DD turbo. Now, I am running the DD/Edge BB turbo which is a lot more durable than the others I have used in the past. By the way, the EZ box works great with injectors. Either gave me 65 hp, both together, 165 hp.

boost fooler

i too have the boost fooler from industrial injection. it will fool the truck for a little boost. if you tow and hold it say at 35# boost for more then 15 seconds, you will get a overboost code. you will need some sort of performance box that fools boost. good luck... . james.
