Solution for complete electrical failure

Okay, so 2 nights ago, I noticed my brake lights weren't working. I have directionals, 4-ways, and running lights, but no brake lights. I have an electric brake contoler that can turn on the brake lights, and that doesn't turn them on either.

On Monday, I was fiddling around in the cab, and I took the steering wheel center piece off to prod the cruise control wires to see if it was the switch that was bad (and thus causing the cruise to not work; not that I ever use it anyway, it just bugs me :) ). Anyway, I wonder if I didn't screw something up with the 4-pin conector in the steering wheel that is now causing the brake lights to not work. Any ideas?

Doesn't the brake lamp switch have power? Check this and then determine if the switch is opening/closing. The turn and brake lamp is the same bulb, right? Drive down this weekend and I'll look at it. We can also add a nice four inch exhaust for yah too @ that time :)

Is the brake light fuse blown. Can't remember if it is the same as the turn fuse or not. A long time ago I lost the brake lights and it was a blown fuse. Found out the trailer light plug in had rubbed through and shorted the brake light fuse.

Okay, I found the problem, a wire got ripped out of it's splice under the dash. No big deal, just a pain in the azz to reach :)

Scott, what do you mean come on down this weekend? I'd love the 4" exhaust :) I just straight piped my 3", and I'm lovin' it :)

Thanks for the ideas guys,

the other Scott :p
