Hey guys, last night when I started the truck I got the "no buss" in the odometer and the "CCd" in the over head and of course the gauges didn't work.

Now either the buss itself is bad or the PCM so my question is if the PCM is bad is there a different PCM for the ETH compared to the ETC? Or is this just a dumb ?

It's going to the dealer Monday so I just want to know incase they mess up.

Thanks, Tim.

As typical, I dropped the truck off at the dealer so they can look at it first thing Monday morning and the gauges were back up and working:confused:

They did have a code stored that there was no communication between the PCM and buss which they cleared.

I drove the truck all weekend and the gauges never once came back up.

So... . is it true if you start and stop the truck a specific amount of times it clears the system and brings it all back up or is this just a glitch:confused:

This was the same way it started when my instrument cluster went south. It would occasionally give me the No Bus signal and the CCd signal, then it started getting more frequent.

You can double check the plug down by the parking brake that feeds the instrument cluster to make sure it's tight. But if it's an internal short in the cluster, it's just a matter of time.

Clusters aren't cheap and they have to be shipped out of Mexico (on a really slow train).

ToolManTimTaylor, the truck has never ran bad but I have noticed the tach needle fluctuates alittle at idle but has been doing that for some time now.

So is it true what the dealer told me about the number of start and stops will reset the system?

Anyway, so far so good and it wasn't a complete waste of time as I had them replace the leaking tail shaft seal for the second time

So sounds like if the cluster does go out I will be without gauges for a while unless of course they have one at the warehouse:(
