no compass

brought my truck [ 2013 ] in to dealer for free oil change.teck did a tsb for heater for the def tank.now i have no compass or marker lights on tow mirrors.teck said he thinks the problem was caused by the tsb.he called chysler for help but they said they were working on the problem.no date for the fix.anyone else had this problem?

I have the same issue with my compass. I have not really paid attention to the marker lights. I'll have to check that out when I get back from out of town.

Had same problem with my compass. Had defective 5.0 radio replaced & when truck was returned the compass did not work. Returned to dealer & they did another update or flash . Everythings works as it should now.

Before you get too worried, take a look at your setup menu either in the cluster on a low line truck, or in the radio under APPS on a high line truck and make sure they didn't default to off. If that isn't it part of the TSB involves downloading the vehicle configuration that was built in error without the heater being turned on. The configuration is the master set of instructions the vehicle controllers use to make everything work properly. The TSB also asks the technician to save or print the configuration before and after the flash so concerns just like these can be identified easily. So I would contact your dealer promptly and ask them if they followed the TSB and saved the data. By comparing the two they will see the bit that was missed and can contact the factory to correct it. The fix is correcting the data and then restoring the vehicle configuration again from the mainframe.

The lights on my tow mirrors only come on with the turn signals. They don't come on with the headlights. Not sure if their suppose to come on with headlights? Anyone else's come on with your headlights?? Any thoughts?

They are NOT running lights, just turn signals. There are people that have done a wiring mod to make them running lights in addition to turn signals, looks really good when done.

I believe they are talking about the little LED lights on the bottom of the mirrors. They come on to light the ground when you open the doors. I have them on mine but I so seldom open the doors at night that I can't say if they still work or not. They were working when I got the truck new.

Oh, those are the puddle lamps, $31+ each, short lifespan for LED's.
