No Crank......

Came out to truck Monday morning and it won't crank, after arc'ing starter I got to work and it started fine while warm. Went to leave 8 hours later and same thing.... Replaced with new reman from napa all seems well. Drove two hours to the middle of nowhere and went hunting, came out next morning and same issue! What would cause the lift pump to run the glow plugs etc like normal but then not crank? Remote start doesn't work either when it's acting up. My next target is a relay but where is it?

There is a relay that sends the start signal to the relay on the starter. My bet is the assist relay was you problem all along.
