I just yesterday replaced my MBRP muffler with the M085171 and so far really like it!!! I did the hanger flip where you redrill the hole and offset it to the front instead of the back and installation was a breeze.

I ordered it on Tuesday night and had the muffler sitting on the porch Thursday after work! It turns out I'm only about 150 miles away from one of Ryder Fleet Products warehouse so that helped.

By far the best $80 (with shipping) I've spent on the truck.....

Just wondering if this is a straight thru muffler. Can you see thru the entire length, nothing restricting? Thanks.

This thread reminds me of a tactic used around 15 years ago to combat drone...a length of angle iron clamped onto the top of the longest straight piece of pipe. Supposedly it made a noticeable different but I never tried it myself.

I have a 2001 3500 24v that has only 24k miles on it. (it sat for like 7 years) I have no power for about 3 seconds after pressing the pedal. I will let you know what has been done so far..

It does work. I clamped about a 30" piece of rubberized unistrut to my cousins truck several years ago and it helped substantially. The noise was still obnoxiously loud for my tastes (5" turbo back no muffler no resonator) but it did cut back on the drone under load.
