I was looking at a 2002 2500 4x4 and saw that it has no axle shaft disconnect like my 1996 has, this means the front driveshaft is being spun over by the front differential all the time. At least on mine just the two front wheel joints and the spider gears are spinning. Does anyone know why Dodge did this? This truck was assembled in Mexico. Also it has the old style steering on it like my 1996, for the past few years Dodge has updated the steering and used a solid tie rod from right front to left front wheel and then tied the rod from the gear box into the solid tie rod. Also it didn't have a vibration damper on the driveshaft. :-{} I had to add these faces in they look cool.
