Ok guys, truck has been running fine. I ordered a Fuel Pressure Gauge to keep and eye on things... I go to install it tonight using the new Banjo Bolt, then the on/off valve and accord to the directions you bleed it at this point... Well I go to bleed it and I get nothing, Try again... nothing... . So I start the truck and while its running I open the valve a little bit and still nothing... so I said F It and opened it all the way, and got two or three drips before the engine shut off. Got the truck running again and still back to square one... .

Is the Famous Lift Pump dead?!?!?!?

Is it Time to just add a Holley Blue in line with it???? I was about to order one and run it inline with the stock LP... .

Help?

Thanks

Rick

Not to be a smart *****, but did you put it on the pressure or suction side? Sounds like its in the wrong spot.

According to the direction I received from the Manufactor..... The side I was supposed to put it on the Right side line... . the one with a schader valve... . Am I wrong here? The truck does stumble every now and then since I added the superchips... . Loss of Fuel pressure?

Thanks

Rick

take the inlet line off the filter, then cycle the pump. this will tell you if there is flow. I have had 2 pumps that ran but didnt pump.

Mine ran with no fuel pressure right after I installed the gauge. How easy was it to start? You should be able to bump the starter, then the fuel pressure should come up, even without the engine running.

Rick - I'm partial to what I have of course. However, I dealt with 5 POS Carter LPs and waited until something different than the Holley or others and when with the one in the link in my signature GFS-392. Complete set, big lines the works way less than some of the others - not going to mention any names - don't wish to turn this into an LP war.

If your LP is good you should get fuel, try turn key to on then just jog to start position and realease it sohould run for 45 seconds or so - no fuel out of shrader = bad LP. They will sound like the're running but not pump if the motor is good and the pump isn't. - Good luck.

I'd call the gauge Tech Line and see if they can help trouble shoot. - MHO
