So I was under the hood searching for the fuse for the cluster lights and I happened to notice that there was not even a fuse installed in the IAT sensor slot. My mileage had been kind of bad but blamed it on the box and 100hp injectors all this time. Is there a reason besides laziness that someone would leave this fuse out? Do you think it will increase my mileage any putting the fuse back in or just leave it out?

Thanks for your replies

You sure peaked my curiosity. Why would the IAT even have a fuse? I'll have to check this out when I get home from work. Did you find this fuse slot in the PDC? I'll let you know what I have in mine.

P. S. My mileage is lousy as well.

I'm curious now too. Sensors don't need fuses normally since they are very low current and are protected internally by the PCM/ECM.

There is a O2 sensor fuse that the Diesel engines don't need. It supplies 12V for the heater in the oxygen sensor used in the gasser applications. Is that the one?
