HELP- Exited freeway after 1. 5hrs at 65mph and at stoplight truck was idling at 1000rpm,toucched go pedal and nothing when pedal is pushed. under hood looks normal. Any ideas????

Sounds like the throttle cable has been either broken or came unhooked. Follow it from the firewall out to pump and see if it is still connected or has broken off... ... ... ... Andy

I JUST WENT OUT AND STARTED TRUCK AND PEDAL RESPONDED, SHOULD I DRIVE IT OR NOT. IF NOT WHAT SHOULD I DO???

sounds like the same thing mines doin toolin along and just sll of a sudden pedal goes away i can push the clutch (or not) and just pat it a few times and comes back , been doin it 6 months now. it is a throttle position scensor. look under hood and it is on right hand side of engine at the front little black cover w/ 3 bolts. good news u can still drive it just aggravates me. bad news bout $400. 00 to fix cause u cant buy just the part thats messed up its an assembly.

It sounds like the APPS (Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor) and it is probably going out. You can search the 2nd gen forum and the 911 archives. Several members have taken them apart, cleaned them, and put them back together and they worked like new. Be aware, they are not intended to be taken apart and cleaned, so you will have to cut the rivets out to get it apart. Or you can plop down 400 big ones for a new one. This is covered under the 5 year / 100,000 miles warranty if you are not out yet. It will probably continue to get worse until something is done. Good luck.

My 2004 just did that, but I unhooked the EZ and it went away. Code P2121. I haven't had any trouble with it since then. My 01. 5 hasn't done it yet. I vote clean it out wherever it is since you'd have to replace it anyway, so what if you break it!

Do tell us what the verdict was.
