Archived No heat after changing heater block

I am posting for a fellow fireman. He changed out a heater block in his 97 ford 7. 3 today (18 deg. ) & now he doesn't have any heat. Do you think he has air in the system, if so how does he get it out?

Try running it with out the radiator cap on tight. If that don't' work, disconnect the return hose to the block and bleed the air out. Might see if he has crossed the hoses. The return comes out of the highest fitting on the heater core.
