SO, here I sits with no dash lights. In the process of installing my gauges I notice that one of the bulbs is not working:( . SO, I pull out the bulb from the holder, push it back in and PRESTO, no instrument lights. So I checks the fuses, all OK. No power at the tan wire behind the light switch (where I tapped in to get the infamous dimming capacity ). I notice thtat I have no power to the fuse labeled instrument B, # 17 me thinks.

HELP:{

OH, the truck is the 01. 5.

I assume you checked the actual fuse itself at #17? Try checking the main fuse box under the hood drivers side, between the battery and the fire wall. Not sure which one it might be, so you may have to check them all. Not sure what else to suggest.

All fixed

Boy, did I ever miss the forrest for the trees. Went back out to find the problem once and for all, after dark of course. Gee, :eek: no parking or tail lights. Hmm, must be fuse F under the hood. How about that:rolleyes: bad fuse.

Don't forget the auxiliary fusebox!

Don't forget to check the auxiliary fusebox which you can only really see when the driver's side door is open. I had a similar problem once and the culprit fuse was in there. A word of warning also - in this fusebox are the fuses for the airbags, so be very careful!!! :eek:
