Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) NO Keyed Power to Fass RELAY and Grid Heater!

Hi Folks,



Have a 99 Dodge 24V here that is giving me the strangest Problem, maybe one of you can help me out. Whats going on here is that there is no Wait to start light and no fuel pump (fass in this case) action when you first turn on the key. The Truck will only turn over but not fire. All gauges in the dash and all lights work. If you bump the starter, still no action at the FASS. I have checked every fuse in the truck, all good, I have tested all the Relays and all appear to be fine. The Strange thing is I have no Keyed power to the Fass Relay. If I jump the wires in the fass harness the pump works fine. Now this is when things get strange. In order to make the truck start I have to put 12V power to the Keyed wire in the Fass harness. Then the Wait to start light functions normally and the Truck starts, runs fine and all is well. One Other thing, The OBDII port will power up my scanner but will not recognize that the Key is turned on. I can get no info on codes or ECM operation. I have Checked all Connections and they are corrosion Free. Does anyone have any Ideas? ECM, Sensor? I am at a loss.

Have you swapped the relays on the power distribution panel? That will definitely cause the relay issue. Just my thoughts.

Some sort of fault with the ignition switch? Is there a theft system shutting down the start circiut?

You ain't gonna like this, but it is PCM time. It is the one on the firewall.
