Old guy returning to TDR again

I just saw on the evening news that Wal Mart is no longer going to sell handgun and “assault rifle” ammunition.
While I can understand this in denser cities, but even the most remote stores?
I really wonder how much this source contributes to the issue?
At least the NRA is squealing.

In washington I think they are defining a rifle that has a magazine greater than 6 or 7 (?) rounds as an assault rifle and they want them banned. It means my old, I think it is 11 shot, 22LR is now an assault rifle. So I wonder if that means walmart will no longer sell 22 either.

My old Marlin holds at least that, maybe more. This is a bad time for the NRA to be in absolute turmoil.

I understand it is "all hand gun ammo" so yes. I read the article earlier today and I think they said they were the largest retailer of firearms/ammo in the nation, at about 20% market share. They figure this new rule will drop them to 6-9 percent, and probably closer to 6% as time goes on.

Wal Mart was great when they invaded around here. They had stuff I actually wanted. Not so much anymore.
It was a real hoot seeing all those taboo rifles on the spinny rack in the Sevierville Wal Mart back in ‘13.
I wonder how many of those wound up in Chicago?

Yea I’m getting there. Can’t get my cotton summer shorts and even my pocket tees are getting scarce.

Our last privately owned grocery store closed at the end of August after 35 years in business. It was across the road from Walmart. I now drive to an entirely different shopping plaza to buy groceries. Save-a-Lot food store is there and still has an actual butcher counter in the store. The last few times we tried to purchase meat or produce from there Wal-Mart, it has been horrible. A new Aldi's opened a few months ago. I haven't been in there yet, but I'm going to go in at some point.

Aldi’s is a strange place. Don’t you have any major groceries like Weis, Giant, or Kroger etc? I’m surprised a private store anywhere has lasted this long, and to fight the good fight in the face of Wally World is commendable.

Aldi is the worst!
Pay less, work more, get fired when sick.
I never go into one of thems, not in Switzerland, not in Germany, and not in the US.

From the three mentioned shops i still prefer Walmart.
And to me, i don't need Ammo, and on the other hand, it's a free country, if Walmart decided to not sell it anymore for whatever reasons- it's their decision to do so.
Disney Stores also don't sell Ammo i heard...

What's really sad is ammunition is just about the only thing in TrailerMart that is made in the USA.

I'm just happy that I will never have to go to TrailerMart ever again because that's all I ever bought there anyway.

I was a 100% non-Wally shopper, until recently buying some Mobil 1 for my wife's car, and a jug of DEF for the truck. The nearest one is 30 or so miles away, so we are seldom in the area anyway.

All this anti gun crap makes me literally sick to my stomach... Its offensive and should be addressed by the SCOTUS swiftly as the 2nd Amendment is more than clear. "...shall not be infringed".

Guaranteed if the Constitution said, "the right of the people to grind and drink coffee, shall not be infringed"...everyone would be sure that law was left alone.

I'm in the same boat. I can make to WallyWorld in about 35 minutes without traffic. The only thing I've dropped any money on in WallyWorld for the last decade is ammo. Now I have NO reason to make a presence there anymore.
