I have a 5" Magnaflow cat back. I want to delete the cat, do I need a new system, or does someone make a straight pipe?

They make numerous systems without cats in the aftermarket. I don't need to pass emissions, it should lower my egt and sound better

I bet you can find a local exhaust shop to pop in a straight piece of pipe. Keep the other part in case ya' ever need it.

Uh no! Exhaust shops won't even go near a CAT, unless you have a buddy that owns a shop. They will get fined big time if they do touch one.

Cut my muffler and kitty out and replaced them with a piece of 4" straight pipe!

I had a Flopro 5" cat back on my truck but wanted a down pipe and no cat also. I called Rip at Source automotive and got his 5" downpipe with 3 feet of 5" pipe that was flared on one end. The owner of an exaust shop, that has done 6 of my other truck in the past, installed it for me. I think it sounded better before, it is a little bit more rasspy at full throtle now. Not realy much drop in egt but seems to have a little more responce. Sounds same on freeway, but pretty loud at full throtle.
