I guess I should have researched more... . ram changed the frame and mounts for 2013 and no one has mounting brackrts yet. Curt is in process of developing them, but is weeks away from maybe having them. Maybe I can use my new truck Memorial weekend??????

x2 I check the 2 2500 on the lot they look like 2012 Frames, I had AJ search the dealer Network No 3500s on any lot as of 10:00am today,1000s in transit.

I called two shops today. Second one said no mounting kits available for the 2013 2500 as they (RAM) moved stuff around and old kit wont work. I called Curt industries and they confirmed that they were in process of testing new kits as we spoke. Maybe 2-4 weeks out before they get out. Called another guy who supplies all brand and said the same thing...

TC for what it is worth. There may be some actual 3500's on the lots. The 3 3500 cab and chassis that I personally saw on the dealers lot still show up as in transit on all of the dodge searches. They told me they received the trucks last Friday. This was a dealer in Harrison AR, not a high volume dealer so I would assume others have to be out there too.

I'm very interested to see how this thread develops, even though I won't have an immediately urgent need for a solution.

I found a shop thats not a "Auto Zone" type place that needs a part number to make it happen. Hitch is in place... . Other issue is really ******* me off... Might cost me $650+ to fix "RAMS" lack of foresight.

If it's any help Reese has a set up just for the 2013 Ram 3500. It is called Outboard Custom Quick Install Kit #56008-53 that will accommodate a fifth wheel hitch. Was on the phone with their tech folks today and it definitely was designed especially for our 2013 3500 Rams and can be bought for about $314. 00. I hope this helps some

I found a shop that does hitches for a wide variety of RV and auto dealerships in the west Phoenix area. They installed it with no problem. They did not use a kit off the shelf.

I'm negotiating on a 2013 3500 now. Presently own a 2010 Dodge 3500. I tow a 5th wheel. One of the options I'm interested in the 5th wheel/goose neck prep package. What is included with that and what do I need to purchase to get up and running?
Thanks,
Jack

Jack,

The package consists of the under-bed frame, with a receptacle for a gooseneck ball (the Reese Elite Pop-in is reported to fit) and four hard points that will accept quarter-turn pins through the bed (similar concept to the Pull-Rite SuperRails). However, there are no hitches or hitch adapters currently made that fit those interface points. Ram is reportedly planning to offer both 16,000 and 24,000 lb adapters (that you'd mount your own 5th-wheel hitch to), but they're not available yet. I've read that the spacing on the hard points is roughly 30x39 inches. The package is supposed to come with five plastic plugs to cover the holes in the bed when not in use.

Here's the URL for the Reese ball and the safety chain attachments that interface with the quarter-turn hard points:

Thanks Mark. Not quite the news I was expecting, but none the less it is news. If you don't mind, are you able to track the latest news on this? If so, would me mind keeping us in the loop?

Talked to my local Dodge Parts Department about this and they have no idea what I'm talking about. Doesn't sound promising.....
