Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) No OD in a 47rh

My truck started not shifting into OD. Thought that the trans temp switch was bad, replaced and still no OD. I have a 47rh transmission and the only thing electric in it is the OD. Anyone have any ideas where to look next. It's getting old driving under 60 mph and my fuel millage tanked. Thanks, Tom

TPS should be yout first check. Make sure its reading correctly at rest and WOT while having a smooth rise as the throttle is opened.



To get OD back and verify it is an electronic problem, wire a switch into the OD wire in the trans harness and run the switch to ground.



FYI, you have 2 electronic functions on that trans, OD and lockup, so check which wire you tap the switch to.
