Hi Folks,

My 95 seems to have just lost overdrive, Came home last night and it worked fine, left for work this morning and it never shifted in to OD. Every thing else seems to work normally, (OD off button still effects the TC lock up point and the TC locks normaly at about 45-50mph) Oil looks and smells good, Changed filter and complete new set of electrics on the VB itself, Still no OD. YOu can drive it all day it it just acts like the OD is not there at all, ( no slipping no noise just doesn't even try to shift at all into od.

Any suggestions?

ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

try cleaning your throttle position sensor. look on the side of your fuel pump and you will see the throttle cable and right below that is a small wire connected. unplug that and clean it good with some electrical cleaner.

probably the transmission temp. sender or wires not pluged in. it also can be the throttle pos. sen. both of these will not let your 95, 47 rh transmission not go into O/D

First thing it to do is to clean the connectors involved to make sure you have a good connection. There is a three wire connector above the shift lever on the trans and the connector to the trans temp sensor on the forward cooler line. Also clean the connector to the TPS. If that doesn't fix it and TC lockup works like it should then the most likely suspect (as Reb. B said) is the trans temp sensor.
