No operation of intermittent wipers

I have normal operation of the wipers if I turn them on both speeds (high-low).

Windshield wash works fine too. But I have no operation of the intermitent wipers.

Any ideas?

I don't have any operation of the door locks either.

Just got back from driving 26 out of 36 hours and I did not have the time to look at anything. So with some ideas maybe I can fix stuff tommorow.

don't know about these dodges but I remember that mid late 80's chevy was famous for this problem the printed circuit board that was located in the plastic cover ontop of the wiper motor would crap out all the time don't know if dodge is similar or not after my kids go to bed I'll pull out the service manual

i got a 96 manual says the module is under the dashbaord on a single blade connection my guees is that's the problem if your lucky. if not its a bad connection hope your still under warranty if its a shorted wire

See if door lock and intermitten wiper are on the same fuse. If they are it is more likely that the wires to the door got shorted. It mite be your fuse but then you will have to find out why it blew.
The connector is good idea too. But as I recall in 96 manual your switch for the wipers, dimmmer ... are in the steering wheel attached to the control arm.
I will look thru manual tomorow or next day.

Thanks so far. I did not have any time today to look at anything. Saturday will be all mine. I will be pulling all the fuses first. But I have the feeling that its just not that easy. Suggestions welcome please. I don't have a manual. I just sold it with my 96 2500.

I am not sure about the '96 but on my '98 the intermittent wipers are controlled by the Chimer Module that is tucked under the knee bolster. Does your chimer work? Also, there are two versions of this a basic and a deluxe. The deluxe contains the stuff for the keyless entry.

sean,you just fixed my truck,how much do I owe you and where to send the money?my intermittent wipers quit the other day,same simptoms,worked fine on low and high but no intermittent. the only thing I did was disconnected the ding dong avon lady calling under the dash, I knew it happened around the same time but whoda ever thunk #ad
they were connected?
Guess I will have to do what illflem said and disable the lil dinger inside and hook up the little chingaletta to the wizzbang

Sean, I took the truck to my friend who installed my stereo. I showed him your post and it took all of about 1 minute to find that the module plug was not seated all the way. Simple, quick and free.

Even though this is what are website is about, exchanging imformation is crucial at times. I thank you for you response.
