Alternator issue?

2006 Ram 5.9 cummins MPG

my 2005 5.9 48re , I was towing when suddenly started notching that when going up over pass tach would increase about 200 extra rpm . then it seemed to shift strange , made it home. changed pressure sensor ,transducer , seemed to shift fine but no O/D . took to a friend that hooked up to computer while drivng and said all pressure were good and calling for O/D but not going in , changed O/D and tcc solenoid but still no O/D . shifts fine otherwise. ??? read about checking number 6 and 7 pin in top of transmission for ground but how do you know which is 6&7

The pins are marked on the inside of the plug with the correct number. You need to ground pin #7 thru a 1/2 watt 33 ohm resistor to rule out electrical issue. If OD engages when you ground that circuit hardware is good and electrical is the issue, if you get no OD with circuit grounded OD brake clutch pack is likely toasted.

Yes, on the inside of the truck side of the harness side plug the circuits are marked. OD can be removed separate form the main trans case and rebuilt.

went to a shop that said its not calling for overdrive. there is power to the relay, not sure if that means ecu problem or what else would cause it. have apt for wednesday
