No parking lights

the parking lights on my 91 D350 are not working. If I hold the light switch just right then I can get them to come on, but no matter what I cannot get them to come on when the headlights are on. I checked the related fuses and they were fine. The truck sat in the rain before this happened but I doubt that has anything to do with it. Any help would be much appreciated

From your description of the problem it sounds like you need to replace the headlight switch. I would suggest putting the headlights on relays at the same time. If you do that you will reduce the load on the switch - a known weak link - and it will last a lot longer. You should be able to get a switch at Auto zone or any reliable auto parts store.

I agree the switch only other idea would be the headlight wireing harness

Ebay has a Relay Harness that hook's up very simple and easy install . LMC also has the same thing .
