No popups for new PMs

This may have been covered in the other thread, but I noticed I haven't been getting the New PM popup for the past several days. I do get the email notifications just fine.



I went in and double-checked the settings in my preferences and the feature's turned on. I have this problem at work and at home.



Another problem I have at work (doesn't seem related) is www.turbodieselregister.com doesn't work but www.tdr1.com does. It just sits there and times out "cannot find host" or "page cannot be displayed. " I tried adjusting security levels. It could be something up with my PC at work.

Hmmm

Well I just got a PM and the popup popped up



Maybe going into my profile then clicking Save without making any changes was all it took to kick it back into action. Who knows

That's strange, the www.tdr1.com web address shows up for me but it has that register.com banner on the bottom of the screen.



I noticed I haven't seen the pop-up for messages in quite a while. I guess I better check my settings.

Your office probably has the DNS settings cached Vaughn so it's still trying to go to the old IP address for www.turbodieselregister.com . You may want to talk with your IT people to see what they are doing for DNS at the office and if they can reset it. www.tdr1.com is an alternate address for the TDR that I believe they get for free which is why it shows the register.com banner at the bottom. If you go to the website via www.turbodieselregister.com you won't get that banner ad.

This happens to me also, no pop up's of PM's when I log on and what ever you do don't read it first cause when you try to go back and look at today's posts it dumps them also, then you have to start all over with last days posts I suppose this will workout in time like everything else.
