Not to be an a$$, but are you 100% positive the correct fuse is not blown, or not quite seated all the way? Just for giggles, I'd check all the fuses, there might be one blown or not fully seated that may not seem at first to be directly related to your problem...

Also, on my 2001 truck at least, there are two fuse boxes: one inside the cab, drivers side, on the outside edge of the dash / console, down low, right where the drivers door opens. Second location is drivers side, under the hood, between battery and firewall is the main power distribution center. Check all fuses in both locations.

Hope this helps...

Oh, and welcome to the TDR. Now say goodbye to your credit cards, bank accounts, possibly wife/girlfriend/significant other/..... and welcome to BOMBers Unanimous :D (BOMB is an acronym used on the TDR that stands for Better Off Modified, Baby!)

With the lighter being "key on" power and the aux being "always on" power, aren't they on seperate fuses?

The aux outlet fuse was in the PDC under the hood on my '99 1500.
