put the pedle to the floor from a dead stop and nothing but bad turbo lag like 5-10 seconds of flat power then i get alittle bit of power in the middle and then falls off again, very weak--my wifes minivan is alot faster, what do you guys think? thanks.

also the truck has a intermittent loud knock. dont have a fuel pressure gauge but i bet its in the fuel system. its at the dealership now under warranty so im positive they will find a way to mess it up.
 
I think they are asking if it feels normal once the convertor is locked up.



I have seen cars where the overrun clutch on the stator in the convertor goes bad, they are real dogs until highway speeds then they seam to work ok.



Anyway, Hope the dealer fixes you up.
 
yes at highway speeds it feels fine but like i said when you give it gas it just dont have any guts, its really bad like i dont want to merg into traffic because it wont get out of its own way, also its down 180miles per tank---thats a big drop in m. p. g.
 
could be a bad lift pump, rail relief, or a bad injector dumping rail pressure back to tank,all causing really sluggish performance,,, good luck and post back what they find if you get a chance... :cool:
 
all right this is what the dealer said was wrong with my truck, first the airaid intake tube and the mbrp are causing the the truck too run bad. the dealer said to put the stock intake on then they can continue to fix it. so i put the stocker back on and well same issue as before, brought it back and while the tech listened to my truck knock and vibrate he disided to tell me he has had no diesel schooling, well i went off----- pulled every body involved into the managers office and found out exactly what a piece of junk dealership this was all the info they got was from the internet and thats diamlers regulations all they did was a at idle LP test and a at idle rail test which came back fine. but i dont have a idle problem---------- they finally broke down and said we are not qualified to determine the problems with your truck. so i set an app for monday with another dealership with real certified diesel techs. i will let you guys know what the results are. thanks
 
I know your mad at the dealership, but dont be too hard on them, at least they had the guts to say they didnt know & they got out before they got in over their heads. Imagine if they went tearing into it as if they knew what they were doing :-laf

dont know why there is a difference but its about 19-20* outside all the sudden and my truck is running alot better, still a llitle slow but once i get to 2k or so it seems to get a power rush? whats the deal with this thing, its driving me up a wall. :{
 
yes it starts in first and ive done it manually as well. but it just wont rev like it used to , it used to shoot straight up and first was gone but its really sluggish and slow to respond at all rpms and gears, if you put the peddle to the floor it dosent respond very fast for like 3-5 seconds then it will get some boost and go but not like it was :{
 
this all started one day when going up ahill @ 90 w/juice on #3 and then it started surging and then went flat and i took it off and went on the same hill with only a banks wastgate on and still same no power on top at all very flat --but bottom and mid were fine. so i put the stock wastegate on and now it has no bottom and then some power in the middle and top just not like it was on stock power setting ? :confused:
