I have a 1997 ram 3500 215 horse that I just rebuilt the engine on. Ran fine when I took it down. Now it has no power and only 11 psi boost. I put a number 8 plate in it and slid it all the way to the front. advanced the timing to 16 degrees and still now power. Checked the afc housing and all vacuum lines for leaks. None found. PLEASE somebody help do not know where to go on this. Rack seems to have plenty of travel but don't know what specs are. Thank you.

1997 RAM 3500 5 SPEED 4X4 WITH #8 PLATE AND 16 DEGREES OF TIMING.

I see you checked all vacuum lines for leaks but did you also check for boost leaks? Proper fuel supply? recheck valve lash???? wastegate??

No waste gate hooked up and pressure checked the the air to air system for leaks. none to be found. Haven't checked valve lash but I just set them to specs when I put the new head on when overhauling it 300 miles ago. Would the valves cause that if they were out of adjustment?

Well If the adjusters came loose and the clearance changed enough it could do some weird stuff. Worth checking since it takes 15min on a 12v

Umm, make sure the pedal is actually going to full throttle, Id have someone step on the pedal or put a brick on it (with the truck off) and then try to mave the linkage on the P7100, I wouldnt be supprised if its only getting part throttle

check the fuel shut off/on solenoid is pulling fully open when running... I had a similar problem last summer, I was barely getting any fuel.

Thank you all for all the help on this I will try that and see if it works with the shut off and the full throttle if it won't work I will leave the brick on the throttle and start then let it drive into a tree.

I checked all the basics and majors. If i remove the afc housing and run the thing it will full fuel and run great with 35 psi boost but as soon as I reinstall the afc housing it will go back to no power and will only build 10 psi of boost. ?????? still way lost ?????? Any more suggestions?
