tuesday night I sild a budys plate forward and ajusted his fly wheel fo rmore smoke took it to town that night and had plenty of power(well for him) then today he came over and said it didn't have any power it wouldn hardly pull itself.

it is a 94 175 pump 130,000 I thank that is the mileage.

waht could be the problem??

I'm going to tear back into it at 3:00.

thanks.

Stock Plate?

I understand that some people have had problems when sliding a stock plate all the way forward due to the arm getting stuck under it. I don't know what would happen if it did that, but it might be the problem. There was a pretty heated discussion about this here a year or so ago, might find it in a search.

Other than that, does he have gauges? Might have cooked his turbo with all that new-found power if he doesn't. I know mine will peg 1400 in a heartbeat with my stock plate all the way forward and my starwheel screwed in. That would be a drag, 'specially since he'd probably blame it on you:{

Let us know what you find.

yeah that would suck.

I noticed that the plate was slid most of the way forward to my suprise. I knwo wiht the 215 pump as you have you gain about 50hp just by sliding the plat forward on the 175 pump you only gain 15-20 hp. this guy doesn't drive very fast I'm going ot ride in it maybe I just losened the star wheel too much so it is pumping out raw fuel and not building enough boost. I hope that is it. I will let yall know when we open it back up.

Try the lever adjustment, it will make a tremendous difference if the lever catches on the nose of the plate & won't go any further. I had a problem when I put in the GSK, couldn't get over about 18lbs of boost, because I wasn't making any HP. After the lever adjustment, it hit's 34-35lbs pretty quickly.

thank yal for all the help.

here is what we found.

teh fuel shutoff silonoid is not sucking itself up all the way somethimes. when I went for a ride with it worked perfectly, then we came back home and it wouldn't die, so I looked at the silenoid and foung that the pin that hold it on the rod was gon and it had sliped off. well I thought that was the reason makes sence well we went to autozone and got a cotterkey for it up it on a took off that is when it started not running good. so we pulled over and I checked the silonoid, I moved it around and it slid up into it's hole. so we finally figured out that that is what it was.

thanks again for all the help.

drice

At first I thought you were talking about your truck and was going to suggest that with that blue smoke you are making you might have fouled the plugs. :D :D :D :D

hey that could be.

in that case could you come up and help me find those dang things. I know that they are close to where I hooked up my edge box. :p
