I have asked everyone that could financially sponsor the truck pulls at May Madness 2003. Just though I would throw in this reply I received from Banks concerning sponsorship of pulls.

Thank you for your email. We always enjoy hearing news about the various

truck pulls that take place across the country. Unfortunately, at this time

we do not sponsor truck pulls. The best and really only way to receive any

kind of support from Banks would be if there was any kind of decent

editorial about our products from a legitimate magazine. I hope you have a

great holiday season.

sorry guys looks like pulls will have to stay in California,

Brandon... Have you talked to BD??? Christain at one point was thinking about sponsoring a portion if enough intrest?

What did you expect from Banks!?

They aren't interested in anything less than something that will make them look like they are the best thing for diesel's EVER

Brandon,

I've wanted to attend May Madness even before I started sled pulling and now I'd like to drive there and pull. The problem being that our legislative session ends a Friday evening, around the third week in May, making it impossible me to drive and attend. I haven't heard the date this year but I'm willing to help find a sponser if there are enough pullers. Larry

I am afraid there wont be enough pullers, yes I have tried everyone for a sponsorship, most were a little more coridial in saying they cant sponsor... ...

We have been considering promoting our biggest existing pulls in ca as a pseudo mm pull?

I dont know

few thousand bucks for sure...

ask Joe Donnelly all I was trying to do was find a sponsor, I am not running the pulls... .

RogerRodbolt-aka Larry--the event usually is around the first weekend of May--someone should know this--I'm almost positive I saw it in the last TDR mag or maybe I'm dreaming-anyway any help would be greatly appreciated and would hope you could make it out--Brandon we need to talk to Brian M. and see what it costs for him to come with his sled--or do you know---then is the spot still available for us to have for the pulls---I'm losing my marbles as I know we've talked of this---chris

Is Banks saying that they pay magazines to write and publish favorable articles about their products? If so, then any such article AND the magazine in which said article appeared should be considered bogus.

chris I wont waste brians time if we aint got no money. I have talked to him about it in the past, he said "i'll go, but I havent seen much good of pulling in the past in lv"

he is concerned about turn out too, no one wants to waste time and money,

besides it looks like the trailer might be pullin a different truck to mm03;)

MM03 is May 7-10, 2003.

Sled would cost about $4-5K without any exhibition tractors, etc. Cost relates to distance and I haven't discussed whether the timing would work with the folks from last year, since $ don't seem to be floating around anyway.

I haven't approached the LV Speedway to see if they would set up a place for pulling, so don't know the cost or availability. I figured if the likely competitors like Brandon, Christian, etc. couldn't stir up any $ to get the sled, the rest wouldn't matter. . .

Last year we got some extra $ to help with the sled but even so it was tense. Seemed to be a crowd pleaser but not many competitors. . . that means if someone didn't show, the viability would be quickly impacted.

MM relies on volunteers heavily, and we don't get the $ John used to. . . that is the main reason he had to quit. . . the way he put on MM it cost a lot. We do get a bit from Cummins in the form of prizes, etc. and hope to get similar stuff from Dodge, but the days of the big blank check were gone years ago.

Whatever activities would be desired, if volunteers are available, will be considered and incorporated if possible and financially will take of themselves.

sled should be no problem we got 3 in ca, that are for hire...

its just money, and it it too much burden for me. I just want to pull, but it dont really matter because we have like 30 pulls in ca, it would just be nice to pull in front of a lot of dodge folks

400 guys at $10 each=$4000

why dont we be our own sponcers

say 10 to 40 $ each

will 250 to 400 diesel nurds show up?

yes

we can spread the $ needed if no one has all $ needed

then the sponcers will notice some action and help more

get the dodge dealer in pahrump to help

they were great, if we collectnow we

can do it!

set up a collection addess to send $ to joe d ?

the price of admission is still small, to something we all

look foreward too

besides , my new gal still thinks a gas motor is better

iam working on her , she has not been in the 93

when a vette is next to me

we can work together to keep this going at MM 03
