Pulled the starter off my 91, it had good brushes etc. Installed LarryB's contacts and plunger in it and installed this starter in my 89. Now the 89 will not start, only CLICK and spark from the positive post on the starter. 12. 9 volts at battery. Jumped the relay as the manual states with a wire in the B and Sol terminal, same thing CLICK and spark from the positive terminal on the starter from the battery. Could I have installed the starter incorrectly, something seized up? Tryed hammering on it with a hammer to NO avail. If I get a pull start, then shut off and retry would this get the flywheel and the starter aligned or whatever? Bill:mad:

Ok got it going. Used jumper cables on the two starter posts, then touch the other two ends together and it bumped it over. Then went to the ignition key and turned it and it fired up. So its running now, from LarryB's post on Keeno's post on his truck is where I go the idea of maybe the starter wasnt getting the juice or something??? Thanks anyways, best $35 a year I've ever spent! Bill
