Hey folks I have a problem with my truck, I hope I can get some help... ... . Before I start let me say I am very strict on the maintenance and filter changes. I know that they are the life of diesels. Or a good part of it. Last weekend (3/29) I was traveling down the highway and started up a hill and had a sudden loss of power. When I backed out of the throttle, the RPMS picked up and things returned to normal. This happened 3 times. Well, the truck was due for a fuel filter so I changed it out that evening along with the oil and such..... The truck ran great all week long. Not even a Hiccup.
Well... ... . Friday evening I was headed home from work and started up a hill and it started all over again..... Loss power... ..... Backed of throttle and power returned... ..... It happened 2 times... . On the 3rd time the motor just died out..... Like it was starving for fuel... . I pulled off the highway, waited for a minute or so and got out and checked the Fuel filter... ... ... It drained fine. I then tried to restart the truck and it would turn over but not start..... I again drained the filter with out any problems (Fuel ran out) and tried to start it again... ..... No luck... ... ... ... is this a Injector pump issue, fule in the water, or what... ... . ? I am beside myself with it..... I tried to have the truck towed to Cummins Atlantic (IN roanoke) and they would not even have anything to do with it..... They dont have the software for 2004 Dodges or newer... ..... My truck is completely factory with no modifications... ... ... ... . ANy ideas or suggestions... ... ..... Thanks Mike
