Also make sure the copper gaskets are on all the old injectors. If one stays in the head when you pull the old injector and you install a new injector with copper gasket, now you have two gaskets and the connector tubes will not line up.

I'm having a lot more engine noise, is that normal?

With worn injectors, yes that is normal.
