I would suggest you get a new one from Larry Bs , no core charge , so you could make a spare , the problem with putting some of the upgrade parts in , and in cold weather , is the plastic insulaters , brushes , armature , bushings , the upgrade parts are good to add to a rebuild , but by them selves , they are not all of a rebuilt starter , if you wait till after the starter starts giving you problems , then somany more parts are old/warn that you end up getting into it 2-3 times , and by the third time you need to get a new or rebuilt anyway .
