no start

Hey guys, on a 06 can we jump the starter and power the injector pump to manually start her? The anti theft has locked us out. We need to get her out of the barn to get her to the dealer. Thanks All we get when the key is on is the little red blinking light and the grid heater coming on, but no start. Tim

I don't know but I would be afraid of damaging the ecm or whatever has it locked out. Probably best and cheapest way is to get it pulled out of the barn and onto a wrecker. I know it is bad to see a Ram on a wrecker but sometimes that is the best route. bg

The flashing red light tells there is a problem related to the security system. It could be as simple as the module has frozen up. Disconnecting both batteries for a bit may be all it takes. I would try that before a flatbed. If that doesn't do it the flatbed will be the safest bet

Disconnect the truck batteries for awhile. Then reconnect and try again. Sometimes a fresh battery in the key helps and sometimes your spare key will work. Outside of that, it's a trip to the repair shop.

Had a friend that had to hold the key below the steering column before putting key in ignition to start .
