Archived BAD! Fuel leak!

This isn't actually on my truck but a forklift I rely on heavily! It is a Cummins B four cyl 3. 9. I can not get fuel to come out of an open injector line. I have replaced the lift pump and have confirmed fuel to the top side of the injector pump. When I open a line coming out of the pump going to an injector, I have nothing coming out whether I am pumping the lift pump by hand or cranking the engine over. I have top think that it is the injector pump, anybody want to confirm my fear, or better yet, give me the easy 2 minute fix:rolleyes:

Thanks in advance guys.

I assume this engine has either a VE (rotary) or P7100 (inline) pump. Have you checked the electric wire to the solenoid for current when the key is in the on or start position?

If it has current then turn the key on and on the P7100 pump there is a fuel solenoid plunger at the back bottom part of the pump which can be pushed up by hand. Even without current in the wire you should be able to push up on the plunger and have someone crank the engine to see if it will start. WARNING!!! MAKE SURE TO KEEP ALL APPENDAGES AWAY FROM MOVING PARTS!!!

Good luck!

Trent

That was it Trent, thanks man! The wire came loose, once I hooked it back up, it fired. It was a Homer Simpson moment... duh-oh!
