Has any one heard of or experienced a rubbing noise from the rear end? It seems to happen around slow corners which makes me wonder if it's the swaybar I installed, but I've had it all back apart & can find nothing. It also has a rythem to it like maybe it's the drive shaft or rear end pinion seal rubbing, but again I put it up on jacks & rotated the wheels & can find or hear nothing. No evidance of leaks etc. Any info or guesses would be appreciated. 02 2500 shortbox H. O. 6spd

On my prior truck I had a pinion bearing go out and it trashed the whole rear end. Could only hear the noise when i was going under 5 mph.

If you have a posi rear diff. it could be that You are hearing the clutches slip when cornering very slow. Don't know if that is the rubbing noise that You are describing or not but it might be worthwhile to look into before it drives You crazy. Thomas

Kind of a rubbing/grinding noise at slow speeds? I have similar that I'm assuming (hoping) is the LSD clutches. Hoping that rear fluid change will help it.
