noise from turbo area

Hi

Maybe you can help with a little noise problem. Left Las Vegas yesterday headed for Denver truck running good,started up Vail pass and heard this growling noise when I stepped on the throttle pedal,let off noise went away,proceeded to the top of the pass truck running fine,started down noise returned with engine brake on shut brake off noise goes away unless I step on the throttle hard. Check engine light came on when I got to Denver. Tried to get code but couldn't read it fast enough.

Have had a Turbo replaced once already

Pull the hose and check for bearing play and look for marks. Sounds like the turbo may be scrubbing a little.

Your response got me to looking around and found some loose bolts on the egr. Took truck into dealership for ckeck engine light they fixed the egr did a diagnostic on it,checked Turbo every thing checked ok. thanks again
