It started out as sort of a chatter when decelerating, now it has become a squeal when accelerating or going up a small grade. Any ideas out there, the truck is a 5 speed.

Did you check you intercooler boots? Is it low on power or have excessive smoke? Did it start after you performed work on the truck?

I don't have any first hand experience to draw on, but I think it would be a good idea to check or have a shop ck the 5th / rev assm retaining nut. That is the main cause of failure in the 4500. If it is just starting to backoff, you may be able to aviod a major expense.
