There was a post about a year ago about noise reduction using some type of tape that you can buy at Home Depot. Does any one remember what that was called? You took off door panels and stuck it to the door. Thanks for any info.

RamLover - I know what post you are talking about and as I remember the gentleman found the tape in the window or roofing dept. And it was used to go around replacement windows or casements. I, myself, did some sound deadening in my truck. I got my materials from a company called Elemental Designs. They are on the Net. I used their eDead 80 and their eDead v4 - TekLite. Hope this helps you.

Thanks for your help. Found that Eastwoods had the same type of sound deadening for a lot less than Dyna Mat Just got done doing the doors ( 6 hrs. ) Now going to take out back seat.

I may jump on this project as well. Now that I have dumped a boat load of money into the truck -instead of getting a new one-... . I need to make it a little quieter for road trips while towing the camper. This sounds like it could be a fun project..... although it kinda sounds like one of those that'll be fun for the first few hours..... and then a PITA for the rest of the time!

Seems like a lot of noise comes from the back seat area (no, the W isn't back there ;)) and I wonder if it's because there's no insulation on the under-side of its floor like there is under the front seat and floorboard area. If you crawl under the trk you can see this.

I also used eDead 80 and was real happy with it in my car. I picked up another 200 sq ft to use in my truck cab after it warms up. It was less costly then Dynamat.

Scooby -It's a worth while project. I would take out the back seat and sound proof the back of the cab underneath the window first. I got the biggest noise reduction when I did that to my truck. I think that area acts like a big drum. I did the doors also, but didn't notice much difference at all.

That makes a lot of sense. My friends 06 has a plastic piece that bridges between the bed and the cab. I've long suspected that area may conduct a lot of noise. How much work is it to get everything out and down to metal back there?
