Noise shield.

Has anyone run their motor without the noise shield that goes between the inj pump and the motor. I was wondering how much louder it sounded. Is it a bad racket. I was able to get mine off to paint the motor but I dont think I can get it back on without removing the pump. If setting the pump timing isnt that big a deal I can remove the pump. I havent done it before so I wasnt sure if it involved much more than pulling the gear off the front and getting it back in the same location as before.

Forget it. It's an automobile thing anyway. The "real" applications don't use them. Keep it real and keep the durn thing off.



Most folks want a quiet ride. I like mine to turn heads from all the clattering and knocking.
