I put a fuel pressure gauge on my truck and this thing vibrates so badly and the needle moves everywhere. I need to know if there is some way to buffer the line to stop the noise and have the gauge read correctly? Moe

My Isspro fp gauge just started making the same noise. Mine is most noticeable at idle and under light acceleration.

I looked at the snubbers at Geno's. Have these cured other folks' issues? Mine just started doing it suddenly. I've had this same gauge on 2 trucks and it has never made a sound. Fuel pressure is good btw.

Might not be a guage problem

Hi

My 02 was doing the same thing and stopped when i replaced my failed APPS.

Might just be letting you know you have grounding issues with your APPS.

Its called water hammer. Its violent pulses from the VP which makes the gauge twitch and act weird. It can actually ruin your sending unit. Buy and snubber and hook it to the end of 16" long 1/4" rubber hose. Put the sending unit on one end and screw the other into the port where your measuring fuel pressure at. The idea behind the hose is to get the sending unit further away from the VP to reduce the water hammer. This all came from the ISSPRO engineer I spoke to over the phone when mine was acting the same way.

You can also use a Needle Valve to fix the issue. A snubber is only a fixed amount of attenuation, but if you get get a needle valve, and connect it inline with the gauge, you can always adjust the flow to have as fast of a reaction as you want with the gauge, and eliminate the noise of the gauge.

I've got a snubber on its way to me. I was told that once a fp gauge starts making noise, that it's on its way out and will probably will need replacement.
