When I first installed the FASS, my truck would only run for the first 5 or so gallons of fuel. Then the basket inside the tank would empty and it would get air in the line. Motor would die, and I'd have to crank the heck out of it untill it got fuel back in the pump. Go a mile or two and repeat the process. I had the tank out 4 or 5 times trying to figure it out. Finally I put a fitting and a screen on the bottom of the basket and ran a longer hose down to it. That cured the running out of fuel problem but it still makes the same slurping surging noise it has made since I got it. Guy down at Browns Valley RV just put one on his Ford, and it is quiet. I have not had any problems with the unit working. Just not sure why you need to flow 5 gallons a minute worth of fuel to a motor that can only burn 7 or 8 gallons of fuel per hour.
