I have never heard the pump for my Pac work. It just did its thing silently and activated the brake. I'm going to be installing a GDP 2 micron filter so I had to relocate the Pac's pump from the front of the engine to behind the passenger side battery. Problem is, no matter how I mount it, I can hear the growl of the pump inside the cab now.

You guys that have relocated the pump, do you hear it?

TIA,

Scotty

I left my pump on the motor. There was plenty of room for the GDP kit.

Only time I hear the pump running is start up in the morning.

Unfortunately, my 03 has the APPS on the eng and there's just not room for both the filter and the PAC. It just doesn't seem possible that it would be dead silent on the eng and make so much noise somewhere else. .

Did you use some sort of rubber isolation when mounting the pump? I think BD mounts the pump forward on the passenger side away from all heat.

Yes, the pump has rubber mounts but they're minimal. I'm beginning to think it's more a vibration I sense than anything else. I tried rapping the whole pump in a thick towel but it made no difference to cab noise.
I have some small motor mounts i'm going to try today.
