Has anybody noticed that the wipers on the 2003 are horribly noisy? Unless it is raining cats-n-dogs, my wipers make so much noise in the cab, I start twitchin' from the rage inside... .

Yes - replaced them with silicones - no help. Maybe it'll never rain again.

Thanks - Paul

Mine are quiet both with the original blades and the winter replacements I am running now. Wonder if they have too much tension on them???

Mine make an awful rubbing racket when they are on, and the windshield isnt flooded with rain. Just have to live with it till I man up for new blades.

If the wiper arms are not 90* to the windshield they are going to chatter. You can use an adjustable wrench to slightly bend the wiper arm so that the blade is 90* to the windshield. Just my . 02

Go for the winter blades by ANCO and use a product called REJEX it is the new hot thing on the market you can use it on your paint fiberglass or glass It is the best thing Ive used in 20 years JUST MAKE SURE THE SURFACE IS CLEAN BEFORE YOU APPLY it also it is also good on the polished factory dodge rims and also thier dually simulators and this should alleviate your promblem MATT 2004. 5 dually 4X4 silver Laramie With to much damm Stuff to list. Oo.

Try cleaning the windshield with Bon Ami. Works like a charm. Removes all surface oils. Its a prescribed repair in the G. M. shop manuals. Used it daily in a G. M. dealer. (Cadallic)

I removed the rubber refills and turned them around. Then I sprayed some silicon on a rag and wiped/cleaned them. No more chatter. I don't know which action fixed them... next time I will use the silicon first.

That's what I did on my 04. 5 just flipped the refill over and they're quiet as a mouse :D

This one is an easy fix---first replace with PIAA wipers(follow instructions) then add the Rain-Ex additive to the washer fluid! This is one of the first mods I do to all of my vehicles and it is great on the highway because at 60 you do not have to use the wipers!

This is one of the best tips I've tried for annoyances. When I posted earlier, mine were not making noise. Now that we are getting light rain (instead of our winter downpours), my drivers side had started making the rubber chattering noise. I carefully bent the arm with a crescent wrench so that the blade was 90* to the winshield. This morning, it's a slow rain/drizzle and I had no more noise from the drivers side. Just a little from the passenger side at the top of the swipe where the blade changes direction. I'll do it when the rain stops. Thanks for the tip, HOBrian. ;)
