Whats a goin on up there? Youins wouldn't happin to have any moonshine fer
sale would you? Oh well.
Hey, wonder if I could get you to do me a favor? Could I get you to 'post'
two or three information 'posts' on the 12-valve 'web' section for me?
There are a few things that I'm desperately needing information on.
If you will 'post' them for me, it will be greatly appreicated! I'll type
out how I want it to appear, and if it gets rather legnthy, you can just
'paste' it. That way you don't have to type word for word, Okey-Doakey?
I'll awnser your question before you have to ask it. I have been trying to
register to get on this 'web' site since brfore Christmas. For some un-known
reason, the uppity-ups, down there in Ga. won't let me in. You know, it's
easier to get into the White House 'web' site, and send a E-Mail to the
President of the United States, than it is getting into the TDR just to talk
about a bunch of pick-up trucks! Go figure?
Anyway, If you DO ort DON'T want to 'post' for me just let me know. That way
I'll know wether to go 'pick' on someone else.
Where in Southeast Pa are you located? Philly?
Thanks, alumcan (Rick)

Please do not accept any favors from this rude person, also on this flapjacks behalf I apoligize for his southern rudeness.

YUP - I agree that our individual internet adresses should NOT be visible to non members of this board!

I understand that we have the ability to NOT have them visible at ALL, but prefer to provide it for LEGITIMATE use by other members here...

Since I post a lot on the TDR I get hit up with this quite a bit. I just reply back for them to spend the $35 if they want to join the club.

I kinda wonder about people who have one of these trucks and won't or can't afford $35 for the magazine subscription. Maybe they stole the truck in the first place. Wadda ya think? #ad

I agree if he can afford a Cummins, He can afford to pay for a $35 membership and get a wealth of information.

Hey Rattlebox, I live just south of Gettysburg. Are you pretty close?
I was reading your sig. and it sounds like you sure gotta a nice truck. Where did you get that custom dual exhaust at? Do you like it??

Hi 4meseb,
I live about 45 miles west of Philadelphia in a small town. I got the exhaust done by Fucello's exhaust in Trenton NJ. It costed me $360 and took him less than 4 hours for the install. The only misfortune of this exhaust is that it is not mandrel-bent, but I can live with that. Sounds great (real low hollow deep tone) and turns a lot of heads. Thanks for the compliment and if you would like to hear it, maybe we can arange a meet somewhere.

Sent the above to Robin tonight - - I'm sure they will address this problem. Ya' just gotta' let em' know!

Yes, join, and the benefits would be:

A beter feeling for yourself knowing that you are getting the info you need, the right way, like everyone else is.

Getting the answers to your "own" questions

Not bothering honest members who make the TDR is what it is today, the single most resourceful place on the net for Cummins powered Dodge Rams.

So in closing I say, pay the $35, and stop "collecting", and start "receiving" the issues... .

Was I too arrogant ?

The next question is: If he can figure out how to use e-mail and has a subscription already are these forums that hard to master? Heck, we must all be a bunch of genuses I guess.

I certainly have enjoyed reading this site very much and enjoy what many of you have had to say. However the sometimes the politics get pretty bad and there's a awful lot of folks who don't know what the heck they're talking about, and lots of questions get asked many times over when all a person needs to do is a simple search for their answer. Couple this with the $35 charge for 4 magazines and posting privilages, on a site with banner ads, which is mainly a discussion forum by the paying members with little, if any, information posted by the publishers and owners, makes me not want to renew my subscription. There are plenty of sites on the Web where discussion forums are free. I think we all desirve more from a site where paying members do all the contributing. They should be paying some of you for for the information you provide.

hmmmmm dont you all think this is a joke,
cummon I get spam in the mail everyday and I would be proud to get it from an illiterate redneck who jus got on the internet in december, come on I think they got you on this one
we get disgusting spam daily, just delete it and try to keep up blocking the crap

Bart-I don't feel that the services rendered are what attract new members, I think it's the members themselves. I have yet to see such a tight knit group of people anywhere else. I have only been a member a short time now, however have had numerous people contact me, ready and willing to help. I don't want anyone to think that I am displeased in any way about the services of this site. Example: I found a fellow TDR member in my area who had the type of injectors that I was thinking about purchasing (this occured before I became a member). I gladly offered to pay him $50 to let me try them so I could make up my mind which brand I wanted. When he found out that I had recently become a member of TDR, he replied that he was initially going to take my money but since I am now a member he couldn't... . he said it was his way of giving something back for the wealth of knowledge he has recieved. Therefore, to be associated with people of this caliber is well worth my $35. As for other forums which are free, I feel it hard to believe that you will find such a large group of people that will go so far out of there way to help a fellow member. I guess it's kind of like comparing a fraternity to a local PTA.

I have to be little more objective here guys. This fellow probably needs some advice on whatever is broken with his Dodge and feels that maybe someone here would help. Now to turn him away just because he has not payed or cannot figure out how to subscribe is being just a little on the hard side. It also will make a enemy and do damage to a future subscribers. Give him his shot and tell him how to subscribe, even if you have to walk him through it.

I was a member back in 95(BC- before computer),I dropped my subscription because I didn't think $35. 00 was a good price for four mags. I came back because I do enjoy this site and the people on it. Give this person a reason to want to be a member. We do not want to appear as a bunch of snobs,do we?

CF is right, that guy is for real. I posted a couple things for him word for word, and he was attacked! I even asked Steve and ken to help him out. I guess he did not want help.
Maybe his fellow West Virginains could give him a hand?

I can see both sides of it. Granted he could afford the 35 if he has a cummins. It is obvious he has a computer. On the other side I remember my grand pa tellin me there is no need in being a fool just because someone else is. I am NOT calling my fellow rammer a fool I guess he just got tired of the junk mail so to speak. I have had several e-mails also. I tell them to join the club and then they can post and find out. I also remind them it isen't fair to the paying members to help out someone that hasn't paid the dues. Hope this makes sense.

Hi! I will contact this gentleman via e-mail and offer him assistance in the registration process. Since I don't have his name or TDR member number, I can't automatically set him up on the web site. No problem. Thanks for the heads-up, Denny.

Also, I'll raise the question of whether we can block e-mail addresses from non-TDR members if you like. We're working on some other significant improvements to the site, and this one may be do-able with the other changes. At any rate, we'll look into it.

Tossing this one over the fence to the TDR / Roundtable forum, where it's actually on topic.

Thanks guys
