non responsive mirror

My drivers side tow mirror does not respond to side to side adjustments made from inside the cab however can be adjusted up and down. The mirror will move just a fraction and I can hear the motor trying but if I need to adjust it I have to do it manually. In the past I manually pushed the mirror through its rotation by hand which seemed to correct the stickiness but its not working now. Thanks guys for any ideas.

I have the same issues with mine, be interesting to see if anyone has a simple fix. Mine has not quit completely but its getting worse.

I went through this issue last year. I took the little motors apart, cleaned and re-lubed the guts. Everything seemed to work properly until I put it back together with the same poor results. I took the easy way out and found a used mirror motor on ebay.

I have same issue. I've found if I use my hand and move the mirror from side to side to it's stops it starts working and will do so for awhile.
