The ball joints on my truck are starting to show their age so I was looking at the current options on the market. It appears most are now all coming with serrations or knurled bodies which I don't want. Even thought Raybestos would come smooth (still showing pictures of smooth bodies), but they appear to have changed.

I'll probably have to go with Carlis now, but thought I'd see what others might be finding. I'm in it with this truck for the long haul, so Moog and the like are out of the question.

I used Carli's, I would use them again if need be. TDR issue 91,pg16 has a good article on different ball joints.

It looks like the AC Delco Pro versions on Rock Auto are now the rebranded Raybestos Pro line which were rebranded McQuay Norris. Affinia has purchased every manufacturer they can get or these parts and now it is hard to tell what is what.

XRF would be another choice that is supposed to be really good with a moderate cost. The DynaTracs are rebuild able so if you can swallow the up front cost they would be a good choice as would the Carli's.

I have put in both Carli and dynatrack in our trucks.(3rd gen 4x4 DRW) Both have several years on them now and both standing up just fine. AT the time the Carli's were 200.00 more for the set of 4. I would not hesitate to go with the dyna trac.
