Non-skid tape question.

I want to buy some non-skid tape to put on the top of the nerf bars I just made. Is that stuff all the same or is there special stuff to look for? I want the coarsest grit I can get and it has to be water proof. Thanks.

I use the 3m tape on my boat trailer and can highly recommend the 3m tape for boat trailers. It has save me a skinned knee many times, loads of traction. When the wife the wife drives the boat onto the trailer, i need all the help I can get

I do use my boat a lot, but I can't say how it would work on trucks nerf bars as far as durability. Mine tape has worn slightly over time, but it is reasonably priced.

I second the 3M tape. Clean the surface well and apply. I have some on the PWC trailer that is 5 years old and still holds.

Thanks guys! I'll try to find some 3m tape tomorrow. That stuff is expensive on the Western Marine site. I need about 15 feet of the stuff:{

We've used non slip tape from wooster and from 3m at work- and the 3m industrial holds up so well it has to be heated with a heat gun to get it off. The Wooster seems to last longer but the 3m hold up much longer to the harsh chemical environments.
