Steering Frustration Continues (but getting closer)

Found a deal on a genuine Holset 16cm2 housing that I couldn't say no to.

Has there ever been a pictorial write up on swapping one of these?
How difficult is the job?
Mine's original, been on there about 150K miles.
Is there anything I should look for/words of wisdom? Other than don't torque the bolts with an impact gun. :D
TIA

It's a real easy job, though tedious dealing with OEM rust.

All you need is good penetrating fluid, and a T3 divided gasket.

Some find it easier to remove the entire exhaust manifold while the turbine housing is still bolted to it, but that may uncover issues like warped exhaust manifold/flanges - that'll take 6 exhaust gaskets, MLS gaskets preferred for sealing up any minor imperfections.

My question is, why are you changing out a perfectly good, quick spooling 12cm turbine housing for a larger 16cm housing?

I would think removing the turbo and manifold would be harder. Plus it would be a tremendous pain to get the turbo separated from the manifold..

Something not mentioned yet is the diference in length.the non gated housing is somewhere around an inch and a half shorter.
