Nor Cal Ford transmission help

I have a good friend of mine right now with a transmission that wont go into any forward gears, Reverse works fine but nothing in any forward gear. I recomended him to go to a truck shop that I have seen some very well built trannys come from but his truck has been there for 23 days today! Plus he gave the guy 2 weeks notice before that!!! I know that J&H in Redding and Imlers in Sacramento but I have only really known them to do alot of good work with us Dodge guys. I put in a call to BTS, Suncoast, And DTT, BTS never called me back while SC and DTT said that it is a sealing ring that goes out in a certain clutch drum that looses forward gear pressure causing the problem. I think that our guy is stumped because the transmission looks PERFECT all apart on the bench. He also had a Ford transmission tech from a local dealer come in and look, They said its the pump? So then why does reverse work fine? Does J&H do trannys on the Ford's? or is there somewhere else in the Sac valley/Northern Cal that does good work to the Powerstroke trans? Collins Diesel Injection in Stockton is pretty sharp on the trucks. I can't find their # but they have been helpful. They do work on Saturday but today may be the exception.

I think J&H does fords also id give them a call. I read an article awile back in a 4x4 mag about a ford transmission rebuild. It was a Shop in south shore tahoe area i beleive it was called south shore trany. I had my 94 bronco trany E40D done acouple years back at a shop in Vacavile but i would not take any thing back to that shop again. Good luck. Brian

Thanks guys, BK, I gave J&H a thought before the post, because I know of their work on the dodge trucks but didnt know about their street credits with the blue oval trucks. Supposedly now the guy worked all christmas weekend and the trans is finally in, Well find out in the AM.
