NORMAL? Crank Case Breather

I was in Moab this weekend and noticed something I had not seen before. I have replaced my missing blow by bottle over a month ago with a tube straight down from the existing tube. I noticed an exhaust from the tube when I nelt in front of the truck to take a picture. There is a little but not huge amount of oil coming from the tube (just enough to be noticable on the tip of the tube) but the fumes made me wonder if everything is normal.



Is it normal to have a small but noticable exhaut out of the breather??

I understand that oil should come out but I have never found a driveway stain. My concern is the gasous exhaust being constant. I just assumed that it would only expell gasses when the warming up or changing elevation.
